Through delicate watercolors on handcrafted Khadi paper, this work is part of a series that transforms sacred Mandir architectural motifs into contemporary abstractions, weaving together patterns of traditional Sari textiles with personal heritage. 
 
Each piece in this series carries the essence of Indian culinary heritage through its thoughtfully chosen name. 
 
This print in 'Saffron & Mace' highlights the precious saffron oranges and the delicate blush of mace. In India, Saffron is commonly used in deserts whereas in Mace is usually found in more savoury food such as curries, chutneys and biryanis. Although both are used in completely different foods, this work celebrates the diverse savoury and sweet food that can be found across India.
